CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

Life is truly a journey, complete with inevitable ups and downs. I have surely experienced both, many times. It is life’s highs and lows, and how we react to them, that make us who we are and who we will become. All of us are unique. Each of us has extraordinary intelligence, talent, ability, and skills that we can develop and direct toward accomplishing great things and making a difference in this world.

Everyone, in his or her own manner, wants to be successful, healthy, happy and financially independent. Luckily, for most people, success is not a matter of birth or upbringing. Indeed, it comes to us when we strive to be the best we can be, every day of our lives. It’s about never-ending self-improvement and learning from our past successes and mistakes.

I believe that each of us has, within ourselves, all that it takes to be happy. Life holds many constants over which we have no control. But we have complete control over how we react to, or manage, the situations around us. I feel strongly that we all have a personal mission in life. We have been put on this earth for a reason. That reason is to do great and good things, to maximize our untapped talents and abilities and make the world a better place.

Life has taught me that there are no free lessons. The good news, however, is that our biggest problems have been sent to us to teach us what we need to know, in order to have a happier and more successful future. Sometimes, we must try and try again, and then try something else. Remember, “Difficulties come not to obstruct, but to instruct.” Always be prepared to adapt, adjust and respond by doing something else.

We cannot grow towards our goals if we are not willing to face challenges and shift directions. Often the right route is another road. Nature gives us pain in many forms- physical, emotional and financial. That pain is a signal to stop what we’re doing.

One of the most meaningful lines I have ever read is from the gifted Irish writer, George Bernard Shaw: “You see things and you say, ‘why’? But I dream things that never were, and I say, ‘why not’?” It is those words by which I try to live every day of life and on which I have founded my businesses.
