DESTINY FOUNDATION
The Destiny Foundation is a private organization with a goal to enrich the lives of philanthropists and communities. The foundation works closely with, and provides support to, numerous Registered Charities that are committed to its cause of breaking the cycle of poverty and relieving the worldwide healthcare crisis.

In 2006 the Destiny Foundation (DHWF) helped to distribute more than $150 million in funding, essential medicines, vitamins, AIDS anti-retrovirals and water purification supplies. Partnerships with groups such as Global Medic, Doctors Without Borders, The Stephen Lewis Foundation, Order of Malta, The International Red Cross and many other charitable outlets, have resulted in assisting those in need around the world.

ADVOCACY
DHWF works alongside partner agencies to raise awareness to the plight of those with AIDS/HIV. We remain committed to being an integral part of a Global Alliance fighting the devastation of this disease.
Destiny Foundation will increase public interest to assist in raising funds and help promote new technological advances in the fight to eradicate the worldwide epidemic of HIV/AIDS.

EMPOWERMENT
DHWF will help empower people afflicted with HIV to overcome the obstacles that face them on a daily basis. Micro-finance programs leading to sustainable development, bio-sand water filtration systems to provide clean drinking water to poverty stricken regions and education and training to give hope and a brighter future are all part of the foundation’s empowerment initiative.

EDUCATION
DHWF will continue its work with groups such as ‘AID for AIDS’ to promote educational programs to help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.
At this stage of the epidemic there are more new HIV infections every year than AIDS-related deaths. Currently, only one-in-five people worldwide requiring HIV prevention have access to preventive services and only one-in-ten living with HIV has been tested.

HEALTHCARE
DHWF assists current AIDS survivors to continue their fight against the disease. In partnership with MSF and ‘Aid for Aids’, Anti-Retro Viral (ARV) medications will be supplied to those in need. And new technology- CD4 Cell Count Machines from Pont Care Technologies, will be offered to support early detection and enhance the effectiveness of ARV therapy.
