Destiny Group hosted a seven-day conference in May 2008, to introduce 100 guests to the beautiful island of Jamaica.

While visiting Jamaica, David Singh, Chairman & CEO of the Destiny Group of Companies and President of the Destiny Foundation donated $10 million dollars in the form of essential medicines, water purification, water tablets and hurricane relief material and assistance. In attendance at the announcement were representatives of the Ministry of Health: Michelle Roofe, Director North East Regional Health Authority; Celia Barnes, Resource Mobilization Coordinator, representing the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Grace Allen-Young. Beverly Needham, CEO, Bustamante Hospital for Children, was on hand to acknowledge the award to her institution.
