BARBADOS
The Destiny Foundation donated a bus to the Government of Barbados which will be retrofitted into a portable hospital where HIV testing will be administered for the people of Barbados.

David Singh, in partnership with PointCare Technologies, is addressing a serious problem in HIV/AIDS patient management by providing an easy-to-use patient system for CD4 positive lymphocyte counting that is especially relevant for the hard-to-reach rural areas in Africa ... environments where two-thirds of the world’s 50 million HIV patients live.


 

Global Medic
The Destiny Foundation donated $100,000 to the Global Medic’s David McAntony Gibson Foundation (DMGF) at the their First Annual Dinner and Auction Gala on May 2, 2008. DMGF’s mission is to aid people in need in the third world. The sole purpose of the foundation is to help people in developing countries specifically in the field of emergency medicine and relief issues. For more information please visit www.dmgf.org.

Global Medic

INDONESIA
On May 27, 2006 a natural disaster hit Yogyakarta province, Indonesia. An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale killed 6,200 people. Global Medic responded by deploying two members of its Rapid Response Team. The Global Medic Mission team has completed the following:
• Donated 3.5 million tablets of broad spectrum antibiotics to healthcare providers, hospitals, clinics, mobile clinics in the affected zone. All medicines are donated by Destiny Health & Wellness Foundation and are manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline. This donation can treat 175,000 patients.
• Created a central source for clean drinking water and carrying potable water out to affected communities. The Team has the capacity to produce 144,000 litres a day of clean drinking water.
